WW2 Pass for an Automobile Permitting Free Nighttime Movement in Kiev, 1944.

Measures approx. 4 ½" x 3 ½", features two slanted red stripes for ease of identification of the type of the pass. The permit was issued by the office of the Military Commandant of the city of Kiev and bears its seal. Unfortunately, the license plate number of the vehicle and other identifying information was filled in with lead pencil and has faded to the point of illegibility. The hole punched in the left top corner was likely made to mark expiration of the pass.

In very good to excellent condition. The paper is unwrinkled, the vertical fold line in the center is completely flat

Any WW2 pass or permit issued in Kiev is a rare find compared with similar documents for Moscow or Leningrad, especially in such great condition!
