The document contains comprehensive information starting with Gretsky's branch of the military, and including personal data, education, ethnicity, communist party, social and marital status, education, spouse and children, all military positions held throughout his active duty service and, specifically, during WW2, all awards, and, finally, the statement of discharge from army reserve upon reaching the age limit.

The binding staples are rust-free and tight, the ID photo is in place and in sharp focus, all internal pages are in place. All printed and handwritten text, as well as seals and signatures are clear and perfectly legible, the ink is not faded.

Vladimir Gretsky (Владимир Иванович Грецкий, 1912 - 2000) was in the Soviet Army since 1940, and on the frontlines of WW2 since December 1942. As Deputy Company Commander with the 134th Tank Regiment, 10th Guards Cavalry Division, Transcaucasus Front, then Junior Lieutenant Gretsky personally hit three enemy tanks on 12 December 1942. Then on the next day he destroyed one more tank, a truck, and several antitank guns. In the course of the battle, he was contused and lost the ability to speak but did not leave the fight. For his heroism, on 31 March 1943 Gretsky was awarded The Gold Star of Hero of the Soviet Union and the Order of Lenin that came with it. Gretsky's other awards include an Order of the Patriotic War 1st class, Medal for Defense of Caucasus, and Medal for Victory over Germany.
