
Medal of a Recipient of the Certificate of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of Ukraine, 1960-1970s.
In silver-plated brass; measures 34.2 mm in height incl. eyelet, 29.0 mm wide. The medallion shows the building of the Ukrainian Supreme Soviet and the emblem of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. Features the version of the artwork without the large statues adoring the façade of the building. The ribbon is in blue and red colors of the flag of the Soviet Ukraine. The suspension device has the early mint mark "MMD" (Moscow Mint) on the reverse.

The medal was the second highest award of Soviet Ukraine, essentially the second class of the similar gilded Honorary Certificate Medal.
Although the Certificates were awarded starting from 1944, the medal itself was established much later, in 1969. By the time it was abolished
in 1991, approximately 40,500 had been awarded - a small number by Soviet standards.
