In brass; measures 37.2 mm in height incl. eyelet, 32.2 mm wide; weighs 18.0 g not including the suspension and connecting link.
In outstanding, excellent condition. Aside from a couple of tiny, nearly unnoticeable dings to the raised edge, the medal is free of wear visible to the naked eye. The raised details are perfect and exceptionally crisp on both sides. The original "gilt" mint luster is very nicely preserved and bright on both sides, having only a minimal amount of tarnish that adds character, no significant blemishes or oxidation spots. The medal comes on a period suspension device, a single-layer model in brass with integral catch of the pin. The ribbon is new. The connecting link appears to be of the period.
Overall, a superb example of one of the earliest Soviet post-war medals.
