In brass; measures 32.0 mm in width incl. eyelet; weighs 16.6 g not including the suspension and connecting link.
In excellent condition. Both the obverse and reverse have only some microscopic contact marks that are unnoticeable to the naked eye, no wear visible without magnification. The raised details and stippling on the background are extremely well-preserved and crisp. There is only a minimal amount of mild tarnish that is not detractive, while the original "gilt" mint luster is nicely preserved in recessed areas, especially on the reverse and along the edge on the obverse.

Comes on an original suspension of early post-war type, a double-layer model in steel and brass with an integral catch of the pin. The old, possibly original ribbon is nicely preserved and sound. The connecting link appears to be of the period. Overall, an outstanding, very attractive example of the Capture of Budapest Medal.
