A couple of similar tiny spots to the gilt are visible on the reverse. The hand-painted image of the condor in the center medallion is pristine, and so is the inscription "La Union es la Fuerza - MCMXXV" ("Unity is strength - 1925").

The sash is in green silk with 29mm-wide white stripe in the middle stitched on the out-facing side. In like-new, pristine condition.

The National Order of the Condor of the Andes ("Condecoración Nacional de la Orden del Cóndor de Los Andes") was instituted by the Bolivian government of Bautista Saavedra on 18 April 1925 in an effort to unify the country. Conferred to Bolivian citizens and foreigners, and institutions in recognition of either civil or military meritorious services to improve the progress and development of Bolivia, and the humanity.

The Grand Cross is conferred upon ministers of foreign affairs, diplomats, members of recognized international institutions, ambassadors, and civil servants of equal rank.
