The small print on the bottom of the obverse includes the price of the postcard, 10 kopeks.

The verso contains the soldier's message, written in Georgian script, in "chemical" pencil, and dated 4 July 1944. For those unfamiliar with "chemical" pencils, widely used in the Soviet Union until the introduction of ballpoint pen on the Soviet market, they wrote just like lead pencils, albeit with a purplish hue to the color, but if you wet the lead, the writing began to look like bright blue or purple ink.

The postcard is in very good condition, showing mild wear to the paper and corners and a bit of foxing and small stains. None of the wear is very detractive. If anything, it underscores the air of authenticity and age of the postcard.
