Badge for Excellence in Social Care Services of the USSR, circa 1960s.
Brass gilt, enamels; measures 35.9 mm in height x 36.3 mm in width; weighs 11.9 g without the screw plate. The badge is of very high quality, typical of those manufactured by the Darbs Factory in Riga, Latvia.
Excellent condition. The enamel is perfect and shows a very nice luster. The gilt finish on the wreath is very bright, practically pristine. The screw post is full length, approx. 8mm, and includes the original screw plate maker-marked "Darbs Met" in Cyrillic.
