"Peace and Disarmament" Badge, circa 1960s.
In nickel-plated brass and high-quality enamel; measures 21 x 12 mm. Shows a stylized image of a pigeon and the inscription "Moscow. Peace. Disarmament". Raised maker mark of the Scherbinskaya Enamel Workshop to the reverse (interestingly, due to the manufacturer's error, it is a mirror image of the logo rather than the standard way it should look).
Excellent condition. The enamel shows nice luster and appears perfect to the unaided eye; there are only some minuscule scuffs and microscopic contact marks invisible without magnification. The nickel finish is likewise perfect. <

The badge was apparently given to the Soviet and visiting foreign "Peaceniks" to boost the nuclear disarmament movement (which was conceived and subsidized by the Soviet Union with the sole purpose of undermining the West).
