In silver; measures 27.8 mm wide; overall weight with suspension, ribbon and connecting link is 15.8 g. Cyrillic maker mark АГ ("AG") to the undercut of the shoulder.

In outstanding, excellent condition. The lettering and artwork, including the raised points of the emperor's bas-relief portrait, are exceptionally well-preserved, nearly pristine. The medallion is completely free of bumps, dings, noticeable scratches, or any other wear that would be visible to the unaided eye. Beautiful mint luster to recessed areas throughout. The medal with an approximately 16 cm length of original St. Alexander Nevsky ribbon in silk moiré permanently mounted on modern cardboard backing for collector's display and secured on the back with glue. The silver connecting link may be of the period.
