Engineering Institute Graduate Badge, circa late 1970s - 1980s.
Anodized aluminum, high quality "hot baked" enamels; 47.5 x 26.5 mm. Riveted three-piece construction: the Soviet state emblem and the engineering emblem of crossed hammer & wrench are separate superimposed parts. There is the late-style logo of the Leningrad Mint in the upper part on the reverse.
Very good to excellent condition. The screw post is of full length and includes original aluminum screw plate marked "Leningrad Mint". Several microscopic cracks to the blue enamel radiate from the hammers, apparently due to applied pressure. Hardly visible and not really detractive.
