Single page, measures 9" x 12". Highly uncommon, issued to an entire army group for taking 4th place in the Soviet Armed Forces-wide competitive demonstration of achievements in sports. The citation bears the seal of the Ministry of Defense of the USSR and a facsimile signature of the Defense Minister Marshal A. Grechko. The citation is dated 28 February 1973.
The citation is colorfully decorated with patriotic and military symbolics. Bearing in mind the orientation of maps, it is interesting that the warships, rockets, bombers and tanks are all streaming west.

In very good condition. The paper is slightly wrinkled and shows mild wear along the edges, but the wear does not reach the graphics or text. The seal is perfectly clear and legible, and so is Grechko's facsimile signature.
