Ukraine, Full Dress Uniform of an SBU State Security Lieutenant Colonel, circa early 1990s - early 2000s; includes tunic with and trousers.
The tunic is in black wool gabardine, single-breasted. Comes complete with two sleeve patches, Judicial Branch insignia on lapels, and shoulder boards with two stripes and larger-size stars for the rank of Lt. Colonel. The buttons display the Trident national emblem of Ukraine. The liner has a sewn-in manufacturer's tag showing the size 54 / IV (Large). The actual measurements are approx. chest size size 44" with25.5" sleeve, the length from top of collar to bottom hem is 29". Interestingly, the tag has the name "V.O. Asadchiy" written in ballpoint pen, possibly the

The trousers are straight-legged, are in black gabardine fabric matching the tunic, with royal-blue stripes (interestingly, this element is a Soviet legacy, as the royal blue was the traditional color of piping of the Soviet KGB uniforms). The inside waist has a manufacturer's tag matching the one on the tunic and also with a 2012 date. The size is about 36" waist, 30 " inseam.
The uniform is in outstanding, near mint condition. Both the tunic and pants show only a storage age and appear to have never been worn or
perhaps worn only a few times. There are no tears, moth damage or stains. A superb and very uncommon set.
