Two pages 8" x 11 ¼", front and verso. The document is a standard form for service evaluation and promotional recommendation of col. Vasiliy Yuryev for the position of Deputy Commander of the Army, Rear, and promotion to the rank of major general. The evaluation and recommendation is signed and approved by Marshal of the Soviet Union, Deputy Minister of Defense, Rear, Ivan Bagramyan. His signature is on p. 4, in purple ink. General Yakubovskiy's signature is on p. 3, in black ink.

In very good to excellent condition. The document was removed from its file properly, leaving only tiny staple holes. The paper is only slightly wrinkled, shows a tiny rip at the edge along the fold line and minor corner bumps, mostly to the top corners. All the typed text and signatures are perfectly clear and legible.

Ivan Bagramyan (Иван Христофорович Баграмян, 1897 - 1982), Marshal of the Soviet Union, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, seven Orders of Lenin, two Orders of Suvorov, an Order of Kutuzov. Fought at Kursk and Orel. Later, as Commander of the 1st Baltic Front, was in charge of Belorussian breakthrough and the Vitebsk encirclement, his forces killing or capturing 30,000 Germans in the latter movement. Occupied Memel and captured Koenigsberg in April of 1945. Postwar commander of the Baltic Military District, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1941 to 1982.

Ivan Yakubovskiy (Иван Игнатьевич Якубовский, 1911 - 1976), Marshal of the Soviet Union, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Hero of the Czechoslovakian Socialist Republic, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Held many high commanding posts including Commander of the Soviet Occupational Army in Germany and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Warsaw Pact, First Deputy Defense Minister.
