In excellent condition; comes complete with all the original buckles and carabiner clips included. The leather is nicely preserved, showing a nice "healthy" sheen and only a couple of minor scuffs that do not detract. Although it will benefit from an application of leather preparation, it is not overly dry as is often the case with leather goods of the period. The belt is completely free of significant stains or soiling. All the original brass hardware is present, functional and sound, albeit showing a moderate amount of tarnish.
This type of AF dagger belt was manufactured only until 1952, at which point it was replaced by a much cheaper to produce belt in braided brown cotton. We have seen some other belts of this type that were made in Soviet-occupied Germany as part of war reparations, but this particular piece is of even more scarce Soviet manufacture. It can be an excellent accoutrement to an early Soviet Air Force officer dagger.
