Majolica fruit bowl with high-relief grapevine motif artwork, late XIX - early XX C.
Oval-shaped, stands approx. 2 ¾" tall, 11 ½" long x 7 ½" wide. Weighs 1 ½ lbs. In very good condition. With the exception of a few tiny scuffs to the surface of the glaze (not at all easy to see), the decorated surface of the bowl is in immaculate condition. There is a tiny surface chip on the side, and a hairline not threatening the integrity of the bowl. The hairline is not easy to see about 3" left of the chip. There are also 3 minuscule spots at one of the long ends of the bowl, at the very edge, where the glaze has chipped off but not affecting the porcelain mass underneath.
