Brass, enamels; 50 x 29 mm. The Soviet state emblem is a separate part superimposed on the red shield with the writing "MVD USSR" and "Highest Classes" [i.e. Study Course]. Mint mark "LMD" (Leningrad Mint) to the reverse.
Excellent condition. The enamel and finishes are perfect, including the fragile gilt finish on the USSR state emblem. The screw post is full length and includes original mint marked screw plate.
