Very fine condition. The enamel is well preserved overall having just a tiny, barely noticeable chip to the left of the state emblem - otherwise perfect and shows beautiful luster. The gold finish on the emblem and book is nicely preserved and bright. The badge comes with original mint marked screw plate.

The badge was issued to graduates of various Soviet higher education establishments specializing in arts, literature, humanities, or human sciences including Law Schools. Graduating from the latter was often a requirement for higher-ranking police officers who wanted to advance their career in law enforcement.
