Measures 9" x 7 ½", 12 sheets (24 pp.), paper cover. The internal sheets are lined as graph paper, what Soviet schoolchildren (and teachers!) called "for math". Comes complete with blotting paper, a necessity in the age of quill pens and very good for doodling, jotting down quick notes, making paper planes and other general mischief during lessons. The front cover features pre-printed header "ТЕТРАДЬ" (Notebook) to eliminate the slightest chance of misunderstanding its purpose, followed by spaces where the student enters the name of the subject, class number/letter designation (e.g., "3A"), the number of the school (Soviet schools were numbered, not named) and the student's last and first name. The back cover features a cornucopia of useful information for the not-very-educationally-inclined: tables of measures and the multiplication table.

In excellent outstanding condition. The cover has acquired minimal age toning along the edges. The internal sheet adjoining the cover is of different shade of color than the rest of them but this was somewhat common for an utilitarian object manufactured in multiple millions of copies.

This notebook is one of last surviving objects of a long-gone era of quill pens, inkwells, penmanship and good handwriting, a nostalgic piece of childhood memories. It will make a great conversational piece and may help your grandchildren understand you better! And that is not to mention what a boon it will be for a collector's Soviet Memorabilia display.

Please note that the pen in our last photo is for size reference only.
