In good condition. Despite the front cover board completely separated from the binding and the spine mostly missing, the binding itself is sound and perfectly functional. The back cover board is still attached to the gauze of the binding. The corners of the cover have the board exposed and a little frayed but the book is quite repairable and can also be used "as is" with due caution. The paper of the internal pages is still mostly intact and supple and whatever little wear they have acquired does not reach the text and is not really detractive. In our test, opening the pages in any part of the tome did not lead to any trouble with the binding or anything else.

Besides being perfectly functional in its main role, this dictionary is an invaluable source of archaic words and expressions in both English and Russian. A true gift from the past for a historian or a linguist.
