Parachutist-Instructor badge, 400 jumps with a pendant for additional 150/200 jumps, 1968 type, circa late 1960s - early 70s issue.
Brass, enamels; measures 56.3 mm in height (not including the pendant), 26.4 mm in width. The numeral "400" and the airplane are separate parts held by wires. This is a distinctively early airborne badge, with nicer details and better overall quality than the later issues. Note that the central parts of the digits in the numeral "400" are filled with blue enamel. There is a raised early-style logo of the Pobeda Factory on the reverse just below the star.
