Known by its French acronym FDIF (Fédération démocratique internationale des femmes), the International Democratic Federation of Women was formed in 1945 in the wake of WW2. Like most other international organizations with the "democratic" as part of the name, it was communist- controlled and essentially a front for Soviet propaganda. The exact meaning of the Roman numeral "V" that appears on the badge is unknown, but the badge may have been issued in commemoration of the 5th anniversa

The exact meaning of the Roman numeral "V" that appears on
the badge is unknown, but the badge may have been issued in
commemoration of the 5th anniversary of the federation in
1950, 5th anniversary of Mongolia's joining the
organization, or possibly for being a member of its
Mongolian chapter for five years.
