Mullah Mushke-Alam Medal, circa late 1980s through 1992.

Brass gilt, "cold" enamels; 40.1 mm wide. The reverse is inscribed, "Governmental Medal of Mullah Mushke Alam".

Excellent condition. The enamels on the obverse are perfect. The obverse shows mild tarnish to the brass but no significant oxidation, while the gilt finish on the reverse is still bright and mostly intact. The medal comes with a generic ribbon of red, black and green stripes, as this medal and many other Afghan medals of communist era were often worn by the recipients. The ribbon is old but sound and clean.
