Soviet Pennant for Numeral Nine (Novenine) of the International Nautical Code or Fourth Supplementary Pennant of the Soviet Nautical Code, in wool bunting, dated 1952.
In wool bunting, same quality and construction as the typical Soviet Navy ensign and other naval flags of the period. Measures approx. 36" x 22". Comes with a long attachment rope in natural hemp (as opposed to synthetic thread as seen on later Soviet flags), complete with metal hardware to hoist on the line. The hoist sleeve shows markings of the Nabivtkan Factory, quality control stamps and a 1952 date of manufacture.
In excellent condition, free of any moth damage or soiling. The flag is completely sound, and the colors are bright, not showing any fading.
