Parachute Jump badge, 1936 type, circa 1950s.
Brass, enamels; 41.0 x 17.5 mm. Late version with relief reverse, less detailed image of the paratrooper and thin parachute ropes. Raised maker mark "MMD" to the reverse, near the top.
In excellent condition. The enamel is beautifully preserved overall, shows very attractive luster, and appears perfect to the unaided eye. A careful examination under a 10x loupe reveals a couple of tiny surface flakes and some microscopic contact marks, but none of it is noticeable without magnification. The screw post is full length, approx. 10 mm, and includes original mint mark
