Since the attack came after the Poles had already experienced full effects of the Nazi Blitzkrieg in the west, the campaign was an easy one for the Red Army. The newly acquired territories were soon incorporated into Soviet Ukraine and to lesser extent, Soviet Belorussia.
The back shows the sun trademark of the Korosten Factory of 1946-49 period /Trademark is #380 in Volume One of Marks on Soviet Porcelain, Faience, and Majolica, 1917- 1991 /
In excellent overall condition. There are just a few light spots, no significant wear to the artwork and only very light wear to the outer decorative border. A very uncommon propaganda item.
