Aluminum, paint and lacquer; the pendant measures 41 mm in height (including the eyelet), about 39 mm across; overall height of the badge with suspension is approx. 56 mm. Attractive artwork depicts a searchlight piercing the night sky, barrage balloon, fighter airplane, antiaircraft gun and radar array. The stripes of the scroll at the bottom represent ribbon of the Medal for the Defense of Leningrad. The suspension has inscription "Veteran of the PVO (Air Defense) of Leningrad".
