Badge of a Veteran of the 269th Rifle Division, circa 1970s-80s.
Aluminum, paint, lacquer; the medallion measures approx. 39 mm in height (including the eyelet), 35 mm wide. The inscription reads "Veteran of the 269th Order of Red Banner Order of Kutuzov Rogachevskaya Rifle Division." The division received an honorary title "Rogachevskaya" which stands for "Rahachow," a town in Belarus, where the division distinguished itself in combat. There is a maker mark on the reverse of the suspension. The badge is in excellent condition.
