In very fine condition. The medal has mild pitting throughout and light wear to the high points, but the details are still nicely defined. There are no significant scratches, dings or edge knocks. The toning to the brass is overall even and attractive. Some of the original "gilt" mint luster is clearly visible in recessed areas on both sides. This commemorative token is one of the several known versions of "Liberty" jettons. The artwork on this particular piece is far less common than most others. This interesting historic piece from the optimistic era of the Russian Revolution which started with a mutiny in February 1917, brought "hope and change" with the abdication of the Tsar in March, and ended in calamity in November of the same year when the Bolsheviks usurped power.
