Badge of a Veteran of the 157th Neman Rifle Division.

Aluminum, paint, lacquer. Medallion measures 44.5 mm tall (incl. eyelet) x 41.8 mm wide. The inscription reads "157th Nemanskaya ('of the Neman River fame') Rifle Division Veteran". The Suspension shows ribbon for Soviet Medal for Victory over Germany in the Patriotic War, but even more noteworthy, it also shows a Victory over Japan ribbon indicating that the unit took part in the Soviet "Blitz" campaign against Japan in August 1945. The reverse of the suspension shows a trademark of a Moscow Factory of the Society of the Deaf.
