In German silver with silver plating and gilt; measures 30.5 mm in height (incl. eyelet) x 26.4 mm in width; weighs 10.8 g not including the suspension and connecting link; total weight with suspension is 15.4 g. Raised logo of the Leningrad Mint on the reverse of the suspension device.
The medal is in excellent, near mint condition. There is no wear beside a couple of tiny contact marks almost unnoticeable to the naked eye. The silver finish has attractive light patina but remains bright; the gilt on the letters is likewise intact and bright. Comes on original

Based on all available Internet sources, only 24 people were
ever awarded with them during the remaining brief period
until the collapse of the USSR in 1991. The medal is one of
the rarest of all Soviet decorations.
