Badge in Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of VLKSM, 1968 issue.

In brass, lacquer and enamel, measures 24 mm in height. Excellent, near mint condition.

This version of the badge is far better made than the more common variety in aluminum and paint, and was presumably intended to VIPs and top functionaries within the organization. Just like the aluminum version, the badge had a status of award, and was bestowed by the Central Committee of VLKSM.
