This is the last version of the badge, "Classic Flat" (also referred to as "Second Unified" variation) according to the Airapetyan classification, manufactured in 1953-57 by the Pobeda Factory. In excellent, near mint condition. The enamel is perfect, with beautiful luster, free of even microscopic contact marks or scratches. The gold finish has only minimal tarnish on the hammer & sickle emblem and cannon, otherwise pristine and bright. The fragile gray finish on the edge of the shield is likewise perfect. The screw post is approx. 12 mm long, has not been shortened. Includes period screw plate maker marked "Pobeda Factory, Moscow" which is correct for this badge and fits perfectly, although it is not original to this particular specimen.
