Patriotic Desktop Porcelain Decoration Commemorating Centenary of Lenin's Birth, 1970.
Glazed porcelain 2 ½" square frame, nearly 1" deep with round bisque porcelain plaque bearing Lenin's bas-relief and the writing in Ukrainian "In Honor of the Centenary of Birth of V.I. Lenin". No maker mark but probably a Polonnoe product.
This ornament was designed to stand upright but laying flat it could be a cup holder - if not for the fact that the thought would be so blasphemous. Well, it couldn't have occurred anyway since a Styrofoam cup was concept unknown to an average Soviet citizen. In excellent condition.
