The medal displays trademark, beautiful quality characteristic of Mongolian medals manufactured by the Soviet Mint. This medal is Variation 2 according to the Urnukh classification, with engraved serial number on the reverse. According to K. Urnukh's "The Orders and Medals of the Mongolian People's Republic", one thousand specimens of this version were manufactured 1974-75 at the Moscow Mint and awarded starting in 1998. In excellent, near mint condition. The enamel and details are perfect.

Awarded to policemen for bravery while apprehending criminals. Also awarded to civilians for bravery and saving lives during natural disasters. The medal is roughly a Mongolian equivalent of the Soviet Medal for Protecting the Public Order and is often referred to by that name.
