The Glider Model Builder (Planeristka), circa 1930s-50s, a faience statuette of a young pioneer based on the 1930s design by D Kovalenko.
Tin glazed earthenware, 9" tall, 5" base. Young girl in her Young Pioneer uniform scans the sky while she holds a glider in her right hand; three more gliders lean against her side, ready to use. On the ground next to her left foot, "N 79" is lightly inscribed - perhaps the manufacturer's catalog number?
