Exceedingly sturdy blue plastic with equally sturdy metal hinges. Manufacturer's logo impressed on the bottom.

While this box may have come with candy in or maybe an assortment of sewing supplies, with its carefully designed legs it was obviously designed to serve as a keepsake box on a dresser or a desk.
