While these are authentic Soviet general's boots, an earlier owner endeavored to represent them as being of a WW 2 vintage by stamping the insides with the date "1945"! Several other unfamiliar stamp marks have also been added to the interior. On a mannikin and brought to a good polish, however, these would still be perfect for display with a general's field uniform.
