Brass Framed Hand Tinted Photographic Stalin Badge,C 1930s.
28mm x 33mm badge. Hand painted red metallic paint was added to the star and each of the "ribbons" binding the oak leaf wreath around a tinted photograph of Stalin. At the base of the wreath is a hammer (and possibly a wrench?) along with a desk globe. If you count the tiny brass screw plate on the back, this badge is made of five individual pieces!
Very fine to excellent condition. The red paint was undoubtedly applied in haste and may have already have been slightly chipped when the badge was first distributed.
