Table Medal in Commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the Dinamo (Sports Club of the Soviet Law Enforcement), 1983.

Bronze, measures 64.5 mm wide. The obverse features bas-relief portrait of the "Iron" Feliks Dzerzhinsky, the founder of Soviet secret police. On the reverse is the stylized "D" emblem of the Dinamo Sports Club, a sprig of laurel, numeral 60 and ribbon with the dates "1923-1983". Raised logo of the Leningrad Mint on the reverse at approximately 3 o'clock positon under the ribbon.

This medal was designed by the artists Belokurov and Filippov and struck at the Leningrad Mint in 1983. The total circulation is 3000, a relatively small number by the Soviet standards. It was awarded to VIPs in the Soviet law enforcement and KGB as well as distinguished athletes who were members of the Dinamo Club.

In very fine to excellent condition. The medal is free of noticeable bumps, scratches or other significant wear. There are a few tiny dings to the edge, visible only at very close inspection and not detractive. The raised details of bas-relief and lettering are perfect and crisp. There are a few very minor blemishes mostly on the reverse but the finish is nice overall with attractive even toning throughout.
