Medal in Commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of the Mongolian People's Republic, Variation 2, #13702, late 1940s.
In gilded brass and enamels, heavy construction. Medallion measures 39.6 mm wide. Stamped serial number to the reverse. Variation featuring relatively thin numerals "XXV" and less concave reverse than the first version. Excellent quality, similar to that of Mongolian Victory over Japan Medal.
In excellent condition. The enamel is perfect on both the numeral and suspension. The gilt on the medallion is extremely well preserved and bright with just minor tarnish on the reverse that is not detractive. The screw post is full length, over 13.5 mm, and includes original screw plate marked "Moscow Artists Cooperative".
