Award Certificate for Capture of Berlin Medal, issued on 15 December 1945. Shows ink stamp of the Personnel Department, 4th "Berlin" Orders of Kutuzov and Bogdan Khmelnitsky Artillery Division (the stamp is faint but still at least partly legible). Hand-signed and dated by the Division Commander Maj. General Dobrynskiy.

In excellent condition, absolutely outstanding for a campaign medal document issued so early and to an active duty serviceman (as opposed to those issued by military commissariats). There are some very tiny spots and faint, barely noticeable finger prints, but the document is overall clean and exceptionally crisp, completely free of tears or significant wear.

Award Certificate for Liberation of Prague Medal, issued on 15 December 1945. Shows ink stamp of the Personnel Department, 4th "Berlin" Orders of Kutuzov and Bogdan Khmelnitsky Artillery Division (the stamp is faint but still at least partly legible). Hand-signed and dated by the Division Commander Maj. General Dobrynskiy. The reverse of the document has a 1979 stamp certifying that a war veteran's ID has been issued.

The Prague document is in very good to excellent condition, well above average for such an early issue. There are some pencil notes on the front cover, probably made by the original owner. The internal pages show some tiny spots and very light soiling, but overall the document is very well preserved and clean, completely free of tears or significant wear.

The 4th Artillery Division was formed in mid-1944 and assigned to the 10th Artillery Corps. Among other weapons, it had in its arsenal some heavy and super heavy howitzers. It was under the direct disposal of the Soviet high command being attached as needed to the armies of the 1st Ukrainian Front fighting in most critical sectors. For its performance, the division was twice decorated with high orders and received the honorific title of Berlinskaya (i.e. "of Berlin fame") specifically for its role in the Battle of Berlin.
