40th Anniversary of the October Revolution, commemorative lapel pin with suspension, 1957.

Brass, enamels; pendant is 14.6 mm wide, suspension 15.4 mm wide. Extremely nicely made miniature, with superb quality enamelwork; not marked but probably produced by the state mint.

In very fine condition. There is a tiny, practically unnoticeable chip to the tip of the upper arm of the star. Otherwise perfect, with attractive luster to enamel.

This "medal" was probably issued to VIPs and participants of celebratory events. /"Avers 8", p. 18, fig. 82/
