Brass, silver plating, enamel; 32.0 mm wide; weighs 15.9 grams not including the connecting link and suspension.
Excellent condition. The enamel is perfect, free of even tiny contact marks. The silver finish is well preserved showing only minor tarnish on the obverse and very attractive dark patina on the reverse. The medal is completely free of edge knocks, scratches, or any other significant wear. The ribbon is very clean although it shows age. The connecting link appears to be original, and its ends are still joined with solder (as is standard for the 1st class Length of Serv

Awarded only from 1962 - 1968, when the MOOP (Ministry for Protecting Public Order) temporarily replaced the MVD (Ministry of Internal Affairs). During this period almost all Soviet republics - including Russian Federation - issued their own MOOP medals.
