The number is engraved with a rotating tool, as standard for late issue badges. The badge exhibits beautiful enamel quality and outstanding workmanship throughout.

Comes with original factory storage / issue box in cardboard with the serial number of the badge inscribed on the top, as was customary. Also included is the original factory wrapping paper.

In excellent, near mint condition, possibly an unissued example. The enamel is absolutely flawless, completely free of flakes or even microscopic contact marks that could be found under a 10x magnification. The gilt finish on the hammer & sickle and especially on the hilt of the sword is exceptionally well-preserved. The screw post is full length, well over 11 mm, and includes the original mint-marked screw plate.
