Cigarette Case with Bird Hunting Artwork, circa 1950s-60s.
In nickel-plated steel. Measures approx. 106x84x18 mm. The obverse features a bird hunting dog on the scent. The reverse shows two partridges seemingly debating if they have anything to fear from the dog. The spring of the latch features what appears to be the maker mark.
In very good condition. The halves match perfectly when closed, the latch functions smoothly. The nickel plating has stood up quite well over the decades showing minor wear, mostly at high points and at the corners, apparently from moving the case into and out of the pocket it was kept in. The inside surface is very clean. The hinge is straight, the spring of the latch is absolutely rust-free.
