Travel Permit to Yelena Litovkina, an officer's wife, issued on the 1st day of the war by the Pinsk Naval Flotilla, 22 June 1941.

Measures 8" x 6". The Pinsk Naval Flotilla which issued the permit, operated on the Pripyat River, well within the border region with Poland. Travel within border regions was always severely restricted in the Soviet Union, and a permit was given to Yelena Litovkina to present to NKVD border guards, confirming that she was the wife of an officer and was traveling to her husband's place of service.
