Brass, paint; the medallion measures 34.3 mm in height (incl. eyelet), 30.0 mm in width. The obverse features the mythical horse Chollima (or Chkhollima) which possessed supernatural powers. In very fine to excellent condition. The paint is overall well-preserved, showing only very minor flaking. The details of the center medallion are crisp and show no significant wear. Most of the original "gilt" mint luster is still present on both sides, having just a minimal amount of tarnish. The pin attachment is intact. An uncommon relatively early piece.
