The sweat band is in leather with perforation for the adjustment tape, a unique feature of general officer hats. The sweat label shows the logo of the TsEP Ministry of Defense Garment Factory in Moscow. The size is not marked (or possibly worn off) but the hat will fit an approximately size 57 head (roughly US size 7 1/8 / Medium). Smaller crown and visor make this hat quite similar to the WW2 model.

Excellent condition. The exterior is perfectly clean and completely free of any moth damage or tracks, which is very uncommon for a Soviet visor hat of the period. The visor is perfectly preserved, free of cracks or scuffs. The threads attaching the visor to the band have come undone in a small area on the left side; this should be easy to fix if desired and, in any case. does not affect the appearance of the hat when it's on display. There is some soiling to the sweat label, faint sweat stains on the liner around the sweat shield, and a very minor amount of wear to the sweat band. Overall, a very well-preserved and uncommon tank general's hat of the early Cold War era.
