Document for the RKKA 20th Anniversary Medal, #022730, issued on 23 February 1938 to NKVD Captain Ivan Yershov (Иван Федорович Ершов).
Hard-covered cloth-bound booklet measuring 7.5 x 9.5 cm when closed. Contains a photo of the recipient wearing an M- 35 shirt with the rank pips of a captain (at the time, a very high rank in the NKVD.) The ink stamp is of the NKVD Border Guards and Internal Army Troops of the North Caucasus Region. There is a typographically printed serial number on the top of the opposite page and the date of issue near the bottom.
The document is in excellent condition. The cloth cover shows very little wear; its color is still nice and vibrant, and the binding is tight. The internal pages

The photo has a couple of discolored areas - that were probably there even before it was attached to the document - but is otherwise well preserved.
